Gutter installation and repair in Dallas
A gutter that overflows at one corner rots the fascia behind it, splashes the foundation, and turns a clay yard into a pond. Most of the time the fix is pitch and outlets, not a new gutter.

Quick answer
Gutter work in Dallas covers seamless gutters in aluminum, formed on site to the exact run length, gutter guards that keep oak leaves out, larger downspouts and extensions that move water away from the slab, and repairs to sagging, leaking or hail-dented runs. Every gutter is hung on hidden hangers every two feet at a steady fall toward the outlet, after the fascia behind it is checked.
Warning signs
Signs your gutters are failing
Overflow at one corner
Pitch is wrong or the outlet is blocked.
Sagging runs
Hangers pulled from soft fascia.
Drips at the seams
Sealant failed on sectional gutters.
Peeling paint behind the gutter
Water running down the fascia.
Washed-out soil at the slab
Downspout dumping at the foundation.
Dents on the top face
Hail damage worth photographing.
Plants growing in the gutter
Debris held water for months.
The job
What a gutter system has to do here
Dallas rain arrives in bursts: a spring thunderstorm can drop an inch in an hour, and a five-inch gutter with one downspout on a long roof simply cannot carry it. The water comes over the front edge, soaks the fascia and lands at the foundation.
So sizing comes first. We measure the roof area draining to each run, choose five or six inch gutters and two-by-three or three-by-four downspouts to match, and add outlets before we add guards.

Budget
What sets the price of gutter work
Gutters are priced by the linear foot plus downspouts and guards; there is no published Dallas range we use. These factors move it.
- Linear feet
Total run length, measured at the eave.
- Gutter size
Six inch costs more per foot than five.
- Downspouts
Count and size, plus extensions or drain tie-ins.
- Guards
Micro-mesh costs more than screen or foam.
- Fascia repair
Rotted board behind the gutter is fixed first.
- Stories
Two-story runs need taller ladders or staging.
- Insurance
Hail-dented gutters are often part of a roof claim.
Seamless gutters
Seamless gutters in aluminum are rolled on site from coil to the exact length of each run, so the only joints are at the corners. Fewer joints means fewer leaks. We install K-style in five or six inch sizes in the color of your trim, fastened with hidden hangers every two feet into the rafter tails through the fascia, not just into the board. Corners are mitered and sealed, end caps crimped and sealed, and the fall set with a string line.

Gutter guards
Live oak and pecan trees load Dallas gutters with leaves, catkins and husks twice a year. We install micro-mesh guards that sit under the first shingle course and over the gutter lip, so water sheets in and debris blows off. Screens and foam inserts are cheaper and clog faster; we explain the difference and let you choose. Guards reduce cleaning but do not end it, and anyone who says otherwise is selling something. Guards also go on after the gutter is rehung and pitched, never onto a sagging run.

Downspouts and extensions
Most overflow is an outlet problem. Adding a downspout to a long run, or upsizing to three-by-four inch downspouts, often fixes a gutter that looked undersized. At the bottom we run extensions, splash blocks or a tie-in to an existing drain line so the water lands several feet from the slab, because a foundation sitting on expansive clay does not want a daily soak at one corner. We also make sure the downspout straps are screwed into the wall, not just the siding, so the first heavy storm does not rip them loose.

Sagging and separated gutters
A sagging run has usually pulled its spikes out of soft fascia, or the hangers were spaced too far apart. We take the run down, check and replace rotted fascia behind it, then rehang on new hidden hangers at the correct pitch. Separated seams and leaking corners are cleaned and resealed with gutter sealant, and a run with too many dents or leaks is replaced rather than patched. Where the old spike holes left the fascia split, that section of board is replaced so the new hangers bite solid wood.
Roofing in Dallas
What we see on Dallas roofs
Quarter to tennis-ball size hail was driven sideways into gutters across the Dallas metro by 60 mph gusts on April 25, 2026, and a hail-pocked gutter is often the clearest evidence on a claim. We photograph dents on the top face and outer lip of every run before touching anything, because an adjuster will look at the gutters and vents before climbing the roof. Gutters that took that storm and still hold pitch can stay; dented runs that now pond water get replaced.

Questions we get
Gutter questions from Dallas homeowners
Six on large or steep roofs; five on most single-story homes. Buildings need commercial gutter systems.
Micro-mesh guards cut cleaning a lot. No guard ends it entirely.
Usually too few downspouts, not a gutter too small.
Often, by rehanging it on new hangers into sound wood.
Yes, before the gutter goes back up.
Often, as part of a storm claim. We photograph the dents.
Aluminum coil comes in dozens of colors to match your trim.
Several feet from the foundation, farther on expansive clay.
Gutter overflowing at the corner? It is usually fixable
A quick measure tells you whether it is pitch, outlets, fascia or a new run, and what each would cost.
