Quick answer
Penfold Construction repairs and replaces roofs in Arlington and the east side of Tarrant County, along with the Tarrant County part of Grand Prairie. Most work here follows spring hail and wind; the April 26, 2026 storm dropped hail up to about three inches near Arlington, and we document damage slope by slope for the claim.
The county
Between Fort Worth and Dallas, in the storm path
In the early hours of April 26, 2026, the National Weather Service warned of a severe thunderstorm over Grand Prairie moving east, called it a destructive storm for Tarrant County, and told residents to expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows and vehicles. Hail reports near Arlington that spring reached about three inches across.
That corridor has history. In the 1995 Mayfest storm, a second swath of large hail stretched from southern Fort Worth to Arlington, and in April 2012 a tornado tracked from Kennedale into Arlington, damaging numerous houses and apartment buildings. Storms here hit with wind as well as hail, so we check for creased and lifted shingles as well as bruises.
