What December 2015 taught Rowlett about roofs
On December 26, 2015, the EF4 tornado that crossed Garland continued into Rowlett. More than 1,300 Rowlett homes were damaged, nearly 300 were destroyed and over 200 had major damage. The tornado reached its widest along Windjammer Way, where lakefront homes on the bluff took damage up to EF4 strength.
