Quick answer
Penfold Construction repairs and replaces roofs across Preston Hollow from its service office on Mockingbird Lane. Roofs here are often large and complex, under mature trees, and some carry slate or tile. The October 2019 EF3 tornado reached its peak along Northaven Road, and a tornado hit the same area again two years later, so we check for wind and limb damage as carefully as hail.
Preston Hollow
Hit twice in two years
On October 20, 2019, an EF3 tornado with winds up to 140 mph crossed north Dallas for 15.76 miles. It reached peak intensity along Northaven Road, where a home lost its roof and several walls, then damaged the Preston Royal shopping center and the Preston Hollow fire station before continuing northeast. Large oaks fell onto homes across the neighborhood. Two years later, another tornado touched down near Northaven Road, and one home there suffered catastrophic damage for the second time.
After storms like these the damage is often from limbs as much as wind: punctured decking, crushed ridges and broken tiles. Our storm restoration documents every one of them for the claim.

The homes
Roofs that need matching, not just replacing
Owner-occupancy runs high here, about three-quarters of homes in the ZIP code around Preston Center, and many houses are large with steep, cut-up rooflines. Where a roof carries natural slate, clay or concrete tile, or copper details, it should be repaired by matching what is there. Our slate work and tile repairs re-hang sound material with new fasteners and flashing rather than tearing off a roof that has decades left.
